3-Hand Casino Hold'em at si6x — a new dimension of poker with three hands
Built on the foundation of Texas Hold'em, this game lets you play three hands at once, taking a standard poker round in a completely different direction. At si6x, the game is available on both digital and live dealer tables.
How a round works
Each round of 3-Hand Casino Hold'em begins with an ante bet. The player can place bets on three separate hand positions — a separate ante is required for each. The dealer deals two cards to each hand and to their own hand, then five community cards are placed on the table — first three (the flop), then one more at a time (the turn and the river).
After seeing the flop, the player decides whether to continue with each hand. To continue, a call bet equal to twice the ante must be placed. If you choose not to continue, that hand is folded and the ante is lost. After the turn and river are revealed, the dealer turns over their two cards.
The dealer needs at least a pair of fours to qualify. If the dealer does not qualify, the call bet is pushed and the ante pays at the set rate. If the dealer qualifies, hand rankings are compared and the winning hand is paid on both bets. Each of the three hands is settled independently, so in the same round you can win two hands and lose one.
Bet types and how payouts work
3-Hand Casino Hold'em has three main types of bets. Each has a different payout structure and a different level of risk.
| Bet Type | When it pays | Payout rate |
|---|---|---|
| Ante | When the player beats the dealer and the dealer qualifies | 1:1 |
| Ante Bonus | When the player's hand contains a straight or better — regardless of win or loss | Up to 7:1 (depending on hand strength) |
| Call Bet | When the player's hand is stronger than the dealer's | 1:1 |
| AA Side Bet (optional) | When the player's two cards combined with the three flop community cards make a pair of aces or better | 7:1 to 100:1 |
For the ante bonus, a royal flush pays the highest, followed by straight flush, four of a kind, and full house, with payouts decreasing in that order. The AA side bet runs on a separate paytable and may vary slightly by platform.
House edge — what lies behind the numbers
Casino Hold'em has a relatively low house edge among poker-based games. Following the correct strategy on the main ante and call bets keeps the house edge close to around 2 percent. This means that over the long run, a small portion of each bet placed is kept by the casino on average, and the rest is returned as payouts.
The house edge on the AA side bet is higher than on the main bets. Despite the attractive promise of high payouts, the long-term expectation on the side bet is comparatively less favourable. For new players, the advice is to get comfortable with the main game first, then shift attention to the side bet.
The 3-hand format does not change the house edge calculation, but since each hand is independent, total risk in a single round can be up to three times higher. This makes correct decisions on each hand even more important.
Basic strategy for beginners
Casino Hold'em is not purely luck-based — the decision to call or fold makes a statistically measurable difference. The following strategies are useful to start with.
-
01
Always call when you have a pair or a good draw on the flop. If your two hole cards or the five community cards together show a pair or a flush draw, calling is generally the better choice.
-
02
Only fold very weak hands. If there is no possibility at all when combining the community cards and your hand, and there is no room to bluff (this is a dealer-vs-player format — bluffing does not work), only then should you fold.
-
03
Look at all three hands together. In the 3-hand format, keep the state of the other two hands in mind when making a decision on one. Sometimes calling on strong hands and folding the weak one reduces overall loss.
-
04
Use the AA side bet in moderation. Placing a side bet every round chasing big payouts can drain your balance quickly over time. Unless you have a specific reason, keep your focus on the main bets.
-
05
Split your budget. Three hands means the potential to bet three times as much. So set your session budget based on the combined total bet across all three hands in a round, not based on the minimum bet for a single hand.
-
06
Remember the dealer's qualifier. If the dealer does not have a pair of fours, your call bet is pushed back. So calling on even a weak hand can sometimes make sense, since the dealer may also fail to qualify.

Live dealer vs digital table
Live Dealer Table
In the live dealer version, a trained dealer distributes cards in real time and the entire process is broadcast on camera. This is the closest alternative to the experience of a physical casino. There is also a chat feature that lets you speak directly with the dealer. At si6x, this version is accessible through Vivo Live.
Live StreamingDigital (RNG) Table
In the digital version, card dealing is handled entirely by an automated algorithm. The game runs faster, table limits are more flexible, and the game runs smoothly even on a weak internet connection. This format is suitable for practice or playing on a lower budget.
Fast-pacedSecurity and fairness
On live tables, the use of physical cards in front of a camera makes every step visible. On digital tables, SSL-encrypted connections and verified RNG ensure that results are unbiased. Both versions operate within si6x's security framework.
SSL SecuredMobile experience
Both the live and digital versions can be played comfortably on a smartphone through the si6x app. The si6x app is available on Android and iOS through official channels. The three-hand layout is clear on smaller screens and tapping to make decisions is straightforward.
Android and iOSTable limits — how much does it take to start playing
Table limits for 3-Hand Casino Hold'em at si6x are set with different types of players in mind. Tables with lower minimum bets are available for beginners, where it is possible to place an ante for each hand for a relatively small amount. Higher-limit tables are also available for experienced or higher-budget players.
In the 3-hand format, keep in mind that a separate ante must be placed for each of the three hands. Adding the call bet can multiply the total stake in a full round several times over. So set your session budget based on the combined maximum stake across all three hands in a round, not based on the minimum bet per hand.
Live dealer tables generally have a slightly higher minimum bet than digital tables, reflecting the cost of real-time streaming and the dealer's time. To find specific limits, detailed information is available on each table's info card in the si6x live lobby. Updated information on all live and digital games is available in the si6x Casino section.
Set your personal limits before sitting down at any table. You can read the Responsible Gaming page to learn more about playing responsibly.
